Parent Governor vacancy

We received one nomination in the recent election to fill the two vacant Parent Governor positions.  Consequently, Governors can now appoint a Parent Governor.  We invite any parent, primary carer or grandparent of a child at the school to put themselves forward by contacting either myself or Mr. Langford, c/o the school. This is far less daunting than an election.

If you are interested or wish for further information on the work we do, times of meetings etc., please forward contact details via School Office and I will respond. Alternatively, you can approach any one of our current governors for advice.

Governors would like to make an appointment as soon as possible so would welcome applications by end of January 2020 if possible.  Should more than one person express a firm interest then governors will offer the position to the person whose skills and expertise best complements those of the other governors.

The appointment will be ratified at our next meeting in March 2020 and the new governor can only take on governor roles and responsibilities after that.

Disqualification criteria do apply (Information on these can be obtained from the school Office and was provided along with the recent election nomination papers).

This is a great opportunity to become involved in the work of the school.  Governors are part of the Leadership and Management of the school and parent governors make a very valuable contribution to the work of the governing body and thereby to the education and well-being of our pupils.
